Job Description

Senior Financial Analyst Role:

In this critical position, you will serve as a vital member of the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering and analyzing financial data on costs, prices, expenses, and revenues to support the organization's financial planning and performance.
  • Developing and maintaining forecasts and analyses of the company's short- and long-term position.
  • Collaborating with Operations to track daily margin reports, analyze financial information, and optimize monthly performance.
  • Providing accurate, concise, and timely reporting to drive real-time business decisions.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Partner with Operations to complete tracking of daily margin reports.
  2. Provide expertise on data sources, discrepancies, and assumptions for cost estimations.
  3. Hold weekly review calls with Operations to discuss trends and performance, develop action plans, and optimize monthly performance.
  4. Compare month-end financials versus actual results in detail and provide variance analysis.
  5. Assist Operations in completing the Monthly Forecast Process.
  6. Understand all assumptions that go into building the financial forecast.
  7. Hold monthly review calls with stakeholders to discuss forecast changes, prior submissions, plans, and trends.
  8. Provide bridges or variance commentary as required.
  9. Compare month-end forecast versus actual results in detail to improve forecast accuracy.
  10. Analyze client, site, geography, and department P&Ls.
  11. Analyze all levels of P&Ls and perform variance analysis as requested.
Requirements

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance from a reputable institution or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical aptitude to identify opportunities for change, implement alternative solutions, and anticipate future problems and opportunities.
  • Ability to identify problems and apply problem-solving skills to determine and implement effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply assessment, measurement, and evaluation techniques to ensure processes meet business needs.
  • Skill in solving complex problems by gleaning meaning from available data, adding personal wisdom, and implementing effective solutions.
