Estimator Position

We are seeking a skilled estimator to accurately perform takeoffs and costing for projects involving electrical lighting controls and reflected ceiling plans. The ideal candidate possesses a solid understanding of lighting fixtures, lighting controls, and can efficiently translate drawings into precise estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize Planswift or Bluebeam software to perform takeoffs and cost estimates.
  • Interpret architectural and electrical drawings, including reflected ceiling plans, to identify and quantify lighting fixtures and controls.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports using Microsoft Excel.
  • Collaborate with the project team to verify and refine estimates.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Planswift or Bluebeam is essential.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Background in architectural and electrical projects is necessary.
  • Experience in electrical lighting controls and reflected ceiling plans is desirable.
  • Knowledge of lighting fixtures and controls for takeoffs is crucial.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent spoken and written English skills are expected.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Licensing and certifications relevant to the role are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Prior costing/estimating experience is beneficial.
