Job Title: Carton Packaging Estimator

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced carton packaging estimator to take on the challenge of estimating folding carton jobs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, coupled with knowledge of printing processes and packaging material specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for folding carton packaging projects
  • Analyze packaging specifications, customer drawings, and production capabilities
  • Collaborate with sales, production, and design teams to determine job scope and manufacturing requirements
  • Utilize historical cost data and supplier pricing to prepare quotes
  • Maintain and update pricing databases and Excel-based estimate sheets
  • Support customer inquiries with technical and cost-related input
  • Monitor job costing performance to refine future estimations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in estimating folding carton packaging projects
  • Working knowledge of printing processes (offset printing, color matching, etc.)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
