Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our organization.

  • Prepare and lodge individual income tax returns, business activity statements, installment activity statements, and fringe benefits tax returns;
  • Perform bookkeeping in client accounting files using Xero, MYOB, and occasionally QuickBooks;
  • Process payroll and quarterly superannuation payments;
  • Prepare monthly management reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, for clients from their accounting platforms;
  • Review work prepared by junior accountants and provide feedback as needed;

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Complete working papers and assist the onshore team with client tax compliance reports;
  2. Handle fundamental and core aspects of clients' tax compliance;
  3. Assist with advanced tasks provided by the Accounting Manager or Service Delivery Manager;

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Finance or Accounting;
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification preferred;
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in Australian accounting or taxation;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Familiarity with accounting tools such as Xero and MYOB;
  • Ability to learn new systems and tools as needed;
