We are seeking a seasoned tax professional to lead complex tax work and mentor junior staff in a forward-thinking accounting firm.
The successful candidate will have strong experience preparing multiple types of tax returns independently, including 1040 and QuickBooks. They will also possess an analytical mindset with attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
The role involves independently preparing a wide variety of returns, reviewing junior staff's work, communicating with clients professionally via email, analyzing complex tax situations, using digital tools to manage workflow and client communication, collaborating with firm partners on advanced planning and high-level tax matters, participating in daily team meetings, mentoring junior team members, and stepping into growing leadership responsibilities.
Requirements- Strong experience preparing multiple types of tax returns independently - 1040, strong QuickBooks experience
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and proactive problem-solving
- Exceptional written English communication skills
- Self-motivated and career-driven—interested in long-term growth
- Comfortable with digital tools and modern workflow systems
- Familiarity with ProSeries or similar tax software (a plus)
