Accountant Role

Synergy is seeking a highly skilled Accountant to maintain organized financial records, process invoices and credit memos, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Maintain and balance the general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries
  • Process vendors' and customers' invoices in automated accounting systems, including source external provider websites
  • Record and maintain financial transactions, such as purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, and payments
  • Conduct reconciliation of accounts and bank reconciliation
  • Perform activities related to accounts payable, including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
  • Perform accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
  • Submit and reconcile expense reports
  • Create amortization schedules and maintain daily task reports
  • Ensure assigned tasks are completed within a specified timeframe and with minimal errors and/or omissions
  • Audit invoicing and payment activities for accuracy and completeness
  • Complete required tax reporting promptly
  • Prepare and update tax provision schedules
  • Digitize accounting paperwork and maintain organized records
Requirements
  • Proficiency in automated financial and accounting reporting systems, such as QuickBooks and SAP
  • Solid understanding of the full accounting cycle, reconciliation, and audit
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and Word)
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle numerous deadlines
  • Highly organized, able to multitask, and work independently
  • Ability to communicate information clearly with all levels of the organization
  • Good English communication skills – oral and written
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's/College Degree in Accounting/Finance or any related degree; CPA designation is a plus
  • Proven 3+ years of previous work experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping
