Mortgage Loan Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Loan Processor to join our lending team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing loan files from origination through closing, ensuring compliance with all lending regulations, and facilitating timely and efficient processing.

The Loan Processor will work closely with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to ensure accurate and complete loan applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review initial loan applications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify and analyze financial and personal documentation such as credit reports, tax returns, pay stubs, and bank statements.
  • Prepare and submit loan packages to underwriting for approval.
  • Coordinate and communicate with loan officers, underwriters, clients, title companies, and other third-party vendors.
  • Ensure all required documentation complies with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Track and update loan status in the system, keeping all stakeholders informed throughout the process.
  • Resolve documentation or credit issues and request additional information when necessary.
  • Schedule and prepare closing documents in coordination with the closing team.
  • Maintain accurate records and files in accordance with company policies and auditing requirements.
  • Proficiency in loan origination systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in loan processing or mortgage broking.

Technical Requirements:

  • Computer with at least 1.5 GHz processor and at least 8GB RAM.
  • Main Internet Service Speed: at least 50 Mbps cable connection.
  • Backup Internet Service Speed: at least 25 Mbps.
  • Dual Monitor.
