Financial Acquisitions Specialist

This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled financial specialist to play a pivotal role in business acquisitions and ongoing operations. You'll be instrumental in conducting comprehensive due diligence, navigating the complexities of a business purchase, and establishing robust accounting practices for the new ownership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough review and analysis of existing business books and financial records to support the acquisition process
  • Provide expert guidance on the financial aspects of the business purchase transaction
  • Ensure full compliance with tax regulations and requirements
  • Prepare and review tax returns in accordance with local, state, and federal tax laws

As part of this role, you will analyze financial statements and reports to identify opportunities for tax optimization and mitigate potential risks. You will deliver strategic tax planning advice to inform critical business decisions and serve as the primary liaison with tax authorities and represent the company during any audit processes.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • CPA or ACCA certification strongly preferred
  • Proven experience working with businesses and comprehensive knowledge of tax compliance requirements
  • Qualified to practice accounting in Australia

The ideal candidate will have proficiency with accounting software, particularly Xero, and experience with business acquisitions or due diligence processes. A strong analytical skillset and attention to detail are essential, along with excellent communication skills to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
