About this Position

We are establishing a finance function that can provide support and accurate, timely information to decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Pull and analyze reports from our accounting software, building and maintaining financial models using Excel.
  • Support the budgeting, forecasting, and cost control cycle.
  • Manage intercompany journals, transactions and reconciliations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Consolidate reporting across New Zealand, Australia, and Canada.
  • Reconcile subscription revenue using data, ensuring accuracy in recurring revenue streams.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights that help shape business decisions.
  • Act as a trusted partner to leadership, delivering confidence and clarity around numbers.
  • Prepare SaaS Metrics reporting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in our finance processes.
  • Tax filings and compliance – Income tax, transfer pricing, GST, FBT.
  • Compile monthly Management Reports and oversee Year End Financial Statement compilation.
Requirements
  • CA or CPA qualified with Australia or New Zealand experience.
Experience
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of accounting and financial analysis experience.
  • Leadership experience with end-to-end month-end close processes – and intercompany accounting and reporting.
  • Management experience.
  • Exposure to SaaS or subscription revenue models.
Skills
  • High-level proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling.
  • Experience with month-end close and intercompany accounting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
