Key Responsibilities

Maintain Financial Integrity and Ensure Compliance

  • Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with accounting principles
  • Perform bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy
  • Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports, including income statements and cash flow statements
  • Prepare and complete CAM reconciliations and estimates
  • Collaborate with property managers to produce final budgets
  • Manage monthly and quarterly tax filings, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations
  • Process and manage credit card billbacks and other reimbursable transactions
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Provide budgeting support and financial performance insights to property management teams
  • Analyze financial data to support corporate finance initiatives and identify trends
  • Maintain clear documentation and financial workpapers
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis
Qualifications

Expertise in Property Accounting

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
  • Proven experience in property or real estate accounting
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is beneficial
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting processes
  • Experience with property management software is advantageous
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
