Job Opportunity: Cybersecurity Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled cybersecurity professional to fill this challenging position.

Responsibilities:

  • Network Troubleshooting: Use your strong TCP/IP networking skills to identify and resolve common network problems.
  • Firewall Management: Configure, manage, and upgrade Firewall (FW), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Internal Vulnerability Scanners (IVS), and Intrusion Protection Systems (IPS) platforms.
  • Security Event Analysis: Analyze and respond to security events from FWs, IDS, IPS, AV, and other security data sources.
  • Customer Interaction: Interface with customers in a polite, positive, and professional manner.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Take responsibility for customer satisfaction and overall success of managed services.
  • Ticket Response: Respond to support tickets in a timely manner.
  • Documentation: Document actions in tickets to effectively communicate information internally and to customers.
  • Problem Resolution: Resolve problems independently and follow documented escalation procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Network Security Concepts: Must have intermediate knowledge in network security concepts and information security best practices.
  • TCP/IP Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking is required.
  • Cisco Network Security Products: Familiarity with Cisco network security products is an advantage.
  • Other Vendor Products: Knowledge of other major vendor network security products is desired.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in information security or networking is preferred.
  • Certifications: Preferred candidates will have one or more certifications in Security/Networking including Security+, GSEC, GCIA, GCIH, CISSP, or other security-specific vendor/product certifications.
