Credit Collection Specialist Job Description

The role of Credit Collection Specialist is to manage aged debt reports, clear receipts from payments, and ensure timely client payments.

This position requires strong financial knowledge to identify overdue payments, negotiate payment commitments, and perform credit checks on new clients. The successful candidate will interact with clients via phone and email to resolve outstanding invoices and obtain payment commitments.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze aged debt reports to identify areas for improvement
  • Clear receipts and match them with the corresponding payments in a timely manner
  • Contact clients regarding outstanding invoices and negotiate payment commitments
  • Foster effective communication with clients to resolve any payment discrepancies
  • Perform credit checks on new clients and update credit limits accordingly
  • Liaise with the finance team to monitor collection progress and provide regular updates
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable is highly desirable
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills are essential for this role
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy is required to maintain accurate records
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software is necessary to perform tasks efficiently
  • Knowledge of credit checks and debt collection processes is a must
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to build relationships with clients
