Accounts Payable Specialist

The role of an Accounts Payable Specialist is to oversee the entire process of receiving and processing vendor invoices for payment. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vendor information, including contact details, payment terms, and outstanding balances.

  • Process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring timely payment and maintaining good relationships with vendors.

  • Perform three-way matching to ensure that invoices are properly authorized and comply with company regulations.

  • Research and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoices, such as missing documentation or quantity/price variances.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a high-volume environment.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems, such as NetSuite, and ability to learn new software quickly.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines.
