
Technical Support Specialist

As a technical support specialist, you will be solving complex problems, troubleshooting Linux systems, and providing expert-level support to customers and peers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance via multiple channels.
- Act as an advocate for internal customers, keeping them informed in a timely manner.
- Ensure that each support case is handled according to our Service Level Agreement (SLA) and meets the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to knowledge base articles and maintain existing content to ensure shared knowledge and lessons learned are available to all.
- Draft and distribute technical notices for internal and external communication.
- Prioritize tasks to accomplish the most important and urgent objectives first.
- Stay up-to-date with evolving products and services.
- Maintain regular communication and information exchange with the team, both locally and remotely.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery.
- Exceptional academic performance throughout high school and university.
- Undergraduate degree in a technical field or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path. Preferred majors include Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering, etc.
- Confidence to speak up, exchange feedback, and share ideas without hesitation.
- Track record of going above expectations to achieve outstanding results.
- Experience with Linux troubleshooting, including collecting logs and stack traces, fine-tuning by editing configuration files.
- Knowledge or basic hands-on experience with two or more of the following areas:
- Linux server administration.
- Programming fundamentals in any language.
- Networking concepts.
- Virtualization/cloud computing.
- Ability to learn quickly, thrive on change, and handle the pressure of a customer-facing role.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Appreciative of diversity, polite, and effective in a multi-cultural organization.
- Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments.
- Ability to travel internationally for company events.
- Experience supporting virtualized environments.
- Experience with open-source desktop technologies.
- Active contribution to open-source projects/forum/code.
