Job Description

Head of Innovation Planning and Strategy

The Head of Innovation Planning and Strategy is responsible for overseeing the entire Export Far East Stage-Gate process for all New Product Development projects. This includes managing multiple stakeholders, such as the Management Team, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Factory NPDs, Regional HQ, and Process & Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the Stage-Gate Process: In charge of EFE Stage-Gate process from Conceptualization to Post Launch. Sets clear agendas for each stage process based on project criteria and drives decision making by relevant stakeholders at each Gate review.
  • Project Management: Provides overall Master Project Schedules based on agreed lead-times and communicates status of key projects in Senior Leadership Meetings. Decides on project assignments among the RNDP team based on overall workload.
  • Product Roadmap Management: Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define and execute product roadmaps. Ensures alignment between product strategies and execution plans to achieve business objectives.
  • NPD KPIs: Tracks and analyzes the performance of products in the portfolio, including revenue, profitability, and on-time launch. Identifies opportunities for product optimization, portfolio expansion, or rationalization based on performance metrics.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifies opportunities for process improvement and implements changes to enhance overall project management processes.
