Quality Assurance Professional

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Professional to collaborate with internal staff in developing improved capabilities in documentation, coding, and compliance. This role involves assessing and reviewing the overall quality of coding on accounts completed by Medical Coders, ensuring adherence to workflows and ethical coding standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing quality coding review programs, communicating review findings and recommendations to coding management, and obtaining statistics to assess risk for all areas of coding.

  • Establishes team direction, resolves problems, and provides guidance to members of own team
  • Leads, coaches, recognizes, and develops a team of employees in all aspects of the job to meet objectives and maintain company culture, policies, goals, and procedures
  • Administers the Quality Assessment process to ensure all quality standards/targets can be met
  • Manages operational processes to ensure that quality, efficiency, and productivity standards/targets are met
  • Serves as client contact for day-to-day operational issues and staff assignments
  • Reviews and analyzes reports, records, and data to meet and exceed client and company objectives
  • Collaborates with all workgroups to resolve issues that impact internal and external customers

Qualifications include a graduate degree in any Medical or Allied Medical course or equivalent work experience. Certification from AAPC and/or AHIMA is required, with CPMA being an advantage.
