Medical Case Coordinator Job Overview

The Medical Case Coordinator plays a vital role in med-legal case coordination, serving as the primary liaison between patients, attorneys, and medical providers following auto-related personal injury accidents.

Job Description

This is a dynamic role that involves managing treatment funding requests, coordinating ongoing medical care, and ensuring compliance with confidentiality and ethical standards.

As a key point of contact for med-legal cases, you will communicate regularly with attorneys, law offices, and case managers regarding patient status, medical records, and reports to ensure timely updates.

You will coordinate scheduling of medical appointments, follow-ups, and diagnostics as needed for legal cases.

Additionally, you will track and manage documentation, including medical reports, billing, liens, and other legal correspondence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Primary point of contact for med-legal cases, including personal injury (PI), workers' compensation, auto-accident, and other legal-related referrals.
  • Communicate regularly with attorneys, law offices, and case managers regarding patient status, medical records, and reports to ensure timely updates.
  • Coordinate scheduling of medical appointments, follow-ups, and diagnostics as needed for legal cases.
  • Track and manage documentation, including medical reports, billing, liens, and other legal correspondence.
Requirements
  • Experience in medical case management, insurance, or legal support.
  • Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient data confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Willingness to work in various US time zones (PST, EST, CST).
