Medical File Reviewer/PHRN Job Opportunity

Job Summary:

  • Prepare case files and Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) for assigned cases.
  • Review and bookmark medical records to create a synopsis answering medical opinion questions based on the veteran's medical history.
  • Remotely assist medical providers during scheduled appointments by accessing different apps, preparing for the appointment, remotely interviewing veterans, transcribing medical histories, documenting physical examination findings, and completing DBQ spreadsheets.
  • Meet with medical providers to discuss cases, determine final diagnoses, and approve medical opinions.
  • Transfer data from DBQ spreadsheets to the client portal and submit DBQs.
  • Answer queries and addendum reports from clients.
  • Coordinate with medical providers and team members regarding scheduled appointments.

Key Qualifications:

  • BSN and active PHRN license.
  • Excellent communication skills to assist veterans, medical providers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility in work schedule changes as needed.
  • Accountability for all assigned cases.
  • Proficiency in MS applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Assist in improving processes and creating process-related templates.
