Remote IT Support Specialist Job Description
Are you a skilled system administrator looking for a challenging role in a dynamic environment? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote IT Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to our clients in a 24/7 production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provisioning and managing Ubuntu Linux servers in a 24x7 production environment
  • Performing daily maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Linux systems and services
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner, escalating when necessary
  • Investigating alerts and coordinating responses, documenting responses and communicating effectively with team members

Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience in production Linux system administration
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Ability to work various shift schedules, including early morning, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Proficient in Bash scripting and familiar with GoLang and Perl
  • Familiarity with user management, configuration, and package management best practices
  • Experience managing Proxmox or a similar Linux KVM hypervisor
