Job Overview

As a remote specialist, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage intake phone calls from patients with a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Obtain and record detailed client information, including personal details, location, and a summary of symptoms or chief complaints.
  • Schedule same-day or urgent appointments accordingly, coordinating with doctor schedules.
  • Determine and assign the appropriate doctor for each case based on patient needs, location, and timing.
  • Communicate with doctors to confirm their availability and provide them with necessary patient details.
  • Send out confirmation details and informative follow-ups to patients and doctors via email or other communication channels.
  • Follow up with patients to confirm their issue was addressed and they are satisfied with the service.
  • Proactively manage and resolve logistical issues that may occur during the intake or appointment process.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in customer-facing roles, patient intake, or call center environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and strong written communication abilities.
  • A genuine passion for helping people and providing outstanding service.
  • Exceptional multitasking and organizational abilities, with the ability to juggle multiple incoming calls and tasks.
  • Comfortable using technology to facilitate workflow, with experience in electronic medical records systems, scheduling software, or CRM tools preferred.
  • Critical thinking and quick decision-making skills to effectively match doctors with patients and resolve any scheduling or logistical conflicts.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, committed to accuracy to avoid mistakes in appointment times, contact information, or billing details.
  • Ability to work as part of a remote team, communicating with colleagues and doctors across time zones.
  • Adaptability, willingness to continuously learn about services, coverage areas, and new tools or protocols.
