Accounts Payable Manager Job Description

This role involves managing financial transactions, processing invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining relationships with vendors and clients.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Process vendor invoices, ensure accuracy and proper approvals before payment.
  • Verify invoice details, match invoices with purchase orders, resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process payments via check, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all AP transactions and update the general ledger.
  • Communicate with vendors to address billing discrepancies and confirm payment schedules.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve outstanding balances with vendors.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in AR/AP or general accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience communicating with vendors and clients to resolve payment issues.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with financial compliance and data privacy regulations.
