Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our Android app and contribute to the growth of our user base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Owning major features and collaborating with the design team to deliver high-quality features inside the app.
  • Shaping the future of the Android team.
  • Own, maintain and improve reliability metrics for key features.
  • Participating in cross-team discussions — Product, Design, Engineering.
  • Reviewing pull requests and supporting other teammates.
  • Handling critical issues or unexpected challenges.
  • Taking ownership of feature releases and providing nightly builds for the QA team.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with Android components.
  • Experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.
  • Product design intuition and user empathy.
  • Drive to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX.
  • Understanding of the importance of testing and how to write tests.
  • Self-drive to improve the app and codebase beyond the spec.
  • Strong experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, JUnit tests.
  • Excellent communication skills and a user-oriented problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work with continuous feedback from leaders.
Nice to Have
  • Experience building, maintaining, or contributing to open source projects in Android.
  • Experience with iOS, Web, or NodeJS.
