Job Summary

The GL Accounting Manager is responsible for delivering high-level support to the Global Controller. This role provides an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to global general ledger accounting, assisting in identifying and implementing process improvements and financial audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the financial close process for the corporate entity and international entities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet/income statement analysis.
  • Oversee the performance of the GL team and collaborate with senior management on cash burn reporting.
  • Coordinate and communicate with the AP team regarding accounting transactions.
  • Calculate and report revenue based on Cost Plus agreement for international entities.
  • Manage fixed assets, prepaid accounts, payroll and benefits, accrued income taxes, and all other accrued liabilities.
  • Prepare, record, and reconcile all long-term debt accounts such as notes payable, deferred financing fees, and accrued interest.
  • Perform intercompany elimination, allocations, and consolidations.
  • Manage and report on all cash accounts (consolidated financial statements).
Requirements
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP principles.
  • Intermediate MS Excel and analytical skills.
  • Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years of managerial role.
  • Understanding of internal control concepts.
  • Significant experience with payroll, cash, and capitalized software.

This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of US GAAP, intermediate MS Excel skills, and minimum 5+ years of accounting experience.

The successful candidate will be able to lead the financial close process, manage the GL team, and perform intercompany elimination and allocations. They will also be responsible for managing fixed assets, prepaid accounts, payroll, and benefits.
