Job Summary:

The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate and complete financial records in compliance with accounting principles and internal policies. This role plays a key part in supporting the Financial Control Division through transactional analysis, account reconciliations, and financial reporting, while ensuring the integrity of the general ledger.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Record all financial transactions accurately in the general ledger, including entries for revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities, and equity.
  • Perform account reconciliations (e.g., bank, intercompany, subsidiary to general ledger) to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including the preparation of adjusting journal entries and accruals.
  • Generate timely and accurate financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor changes in accounting regulations and recommend updates to internal processes as needed.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing and submitting required documentation and explanations.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure strict adherence to eTap's safety, security, and information security policies.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    Minimum of 1 year of experience in general ledger accounting (preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
