Position Overview:

The General Ledger Associate play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining accurate financial records. This role involves overseeing general ledger activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and Client specific accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities:

General Ledger Management:

  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by overseeing balance sheet accounts clearing and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting discrepancies.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze balance sheet schedules.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis to improve financial performance and efficiency.

Process Improvement and Documentation:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in general ledger and tax-related processes.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and facilitate audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1-2 years experience
  • Proven experience in general ledger accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS)
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
