Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented professional to join our team in a Patient Financial Outreach role. This position plays a critical part in ensuring patients are informed about their financial responsibilities prior to appointments and that all financial communications are accurately documented in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of accountability, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively reach out to patients to review co-pays, balances, and payment options.
  • Provide clear explanations of billing statements and assist with setting up payment plans when needed.
  • Accurately document all patient interactions, financial discussions, and related information in the EHR system to maintain a clear and consistent record.
  • Work closely with intake, clinical, and billing teams to ensure accurate information flow.
  • Escalate complex patient or insurance issues for resolution.
Requirements

Qualified candidates will have prior experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or healthcare accounts receivable.

  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and time management.
  • Ability to manage sensitive patient information with integrity (HIPAA compliance).
  • Comfortable using billing software, EHR systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Reliable attendance and adherence to scheduled work hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) industry.
  • Knowledge of CPT and HCPCS coding.
  • Familiarity with denial management and appeals processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Customer service mindset with empathy and professionalism.
  • High attention to detail to prevent billing errors.
  • Mathematical aptitude for handling financial calculations.
Additional Requirements
  • Must submit a short video introduction as part of the application.
  • Must be able to provide NBI clearance or Local Police Clearance if requested.
  • No other client commitments during scheduled work hours.
