Job Description:

Our organization requires a seasoned Operations Manager to lead and grow our remote operations team. This leadership role demands an individual with strong finance/bookkeeping skills and proven operations management experience who can establish efficient systems, oversee diverse operational functions, and manage both internal teams and external consultants across areas they may not personally specialize in.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of operations management experience, preferably managing remote or distributed teams. A strong finance and bookkeeping background is essential, with hands-on experience in financial operations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage a team of 4-8 operations specialists covering business operations, accounting/HR, administrative support, sales/marketing support, and business technology
  • Provide strategic guidance, performance management, and professional development for team members with diverse skill sets

Financial Operations:

  • Oversee bookkeeping and accounting operations including A/R management, billing cycles, payment processing, and financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain relationships with CPAs and external financial advisors

Strategic Operations & Systems:

  • Design and implement scalable back-office processes that enable our professional services and sales teams to focus on client delivery and business development
  • Collaborate with Business Operations Technologists to enhance system integrations, automation, and data management
