Medical Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Medical Support Specialist to provide exceptional administrative support to healthcare professionals in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Record Management: Utilize your familiarity with EMR systems to manage patient records efficiently and accurately.
  • System Maintenance: Update and maintain EMR systems with new patient information, medical history, and treatment plans.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by promptly and professionally responding to patient inquiries via phone, email, or chat.
  • Communication: Explain our services to new patients, ensuring they have a clear understanding of how our systems work and what to expect.
  • Coordination: Assist healthcare professionals in scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating follow-up care.
  • Billing: Collaborate with medical billing teams to ensure accurate coding and billing information.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in handling sensitive medical information.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in managing patient records and EMR systems, and have a passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Medical Support Specialist or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using EMR systems, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex medical concepts to patients in a clear and concise manner.
