Job Title: Automotive Cashier

An automotive cashier plays a vital role in ensuring seamless financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting both the accounting and service departments.

Responsibilities:
  • Process Payments: Receive payments for vehicle purchases, repairs, parts, and services via cash, credit card, or check.
  • Reconcile Transactions: Match payments with invoices, issue receipts, and balance the cash drawer daily.
  • Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate logs of financial transactions, refunds, and adjustments.
  • Customer Interaction: Answer billing inquiries, explain charges, and redirect calls to appropriate departments.
  • Invoice Management: Print and distribute invoices, resolve billing discrepancies, and assist with end-of-day reports.
  • Front Desk Duties: Keep the cashier area organized, assist with clerical tasks, and support customer service efforts.
Qualifications:

Education - A college degree is required. Preferred experience includes 1-2 years of work in cashiering, accounting, or customer service.

Knowledge of dealership operations or automotive services is beneficial.

Skills:
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficient in using POS systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Math Skills: Accurate calculation of totals, discounts, and change.
