About the Role

The HR Generalist will oversee daily HR operations for our US team, handling inquiries regarding policies and procedures, as well as onboarding new hires, personnel changes, and terminations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administering human resource programs including onboarding, offboarding, position changes, compensation, benefits, and leaves of absence.
  • Providing support and answering frequently asked questions from employees and managers regarding standard policies, processes, benefits, etc., referring complex and/or sensitive matters to senior level HR team members.
  • Participating in new hire orientation and other employee programs.
  • Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, reviewing policies and practices to ensure compliance.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and integrity of human resource files and records.
  • Performing periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Serving as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Staying informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • 2-4 years' experience as an HR Generalist in the US.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive situations professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective stress and time management skills.
  • A sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a team member.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Relative certifications (SHRM-CP) are a plus.
