Accounts Receivable Specialist

Overview:
- This role is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of various financial transactions given defined procedures and close supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares, records, verifies, analyzes and reports accounts receivable activities.
- Handles invoice processing and monitors collections to maintain current account status.
- Posts customer payments, reconciles collection and clears against outstanding accounts receivable ensuring transaction entry verification procedures are followed.
- Analyzes collection variances and coordinates with Sales to clear and close-out open items.
- Maintains and reconciles accounts receivable ledger accounts and prepares management reports.
- Client interaction is a key aspect of this role.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required Qualifications:
- Accounting or finance degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software and systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CPA, CMA).
- Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
