Collection and Cash Application Specialist Role

This role involves working in a dynamic global team to efficiently collect cash from customers.

  • Manage high-volume, multi-currency ledgers while adhering to agreed-upon terms.
  • Maintain relationships with both internal and external customers, being sensitive to cultural and regional differences while enforcing agreed terms.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, collaborate with other departments for prompt query resolution and efficient OTC flow.
  • Coordinate cash allocation, identifying payments and resolving short-paid reasons within the month's payment receipt.
  • Process final notices sensitively, working with internal stakeholders to take appropriate actions in cases of non-payment, including account closure and service termination.
  • Ensure adherence to document processes and approval protocols at all times.
  • Contribute to meeting business cash collection targets and needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • At least 3+ years of experience in successful cash collection in a busy global AR team.
  • Strong tenacity and professionalism.
  • Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with accounting systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Strong written and oral communication, as well as interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual.
