Senior Debt Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Credit Controller to manage aged debt reports, clear receipts from payments, and ensure clients make timely payments.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Generate and review aged debt reports to identify overdue payments
  2. Clear receipts and match them with the corresponding payments
  3. Contact clients via phone regarding outstanding invoices
  4. Negotiate payment commitments and follow up to ensure timely payments
  5. Perform credit checks on new clients and update credit limits accordingly
  6. Set up new clients in the system and maintain accurate records
  7. Liaise with the finance team to resolve any payment discrepancies
  8. Monitor and report on collection progress to senior management
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable
  • Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to handle phone conversations effectively
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
  • Knowledge of credit checks and debt collection processes
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
