Lead Accounting Strategist
Job Description:
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth through expert accounting strategy and leadership. You will analyze client needs, develop tailored solutions, and ensure seamless execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Assessment & Solution Design: Conduct thorough client assessments to identify areas for improvement, then design and implement customized accounting solutions that meet their unique needs.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, ensuring they possess the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver high-quality results.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement long-term business strategies, focusing on revenue growth, cost optimization, and process improvement.
- Leadership Development: Mentor and coach junior team members, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to take on increasingly complex projects and responsibilities.
- Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive business innovation and competitive advantage.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Expertise
+ US Tax & Accounting: 7-10 years of hands-on experience in US tax preparation, compliance, and accounting practices.
+ Canadian Experience: 2-3 years of exposure to Canadian accounting standards and tax regulations (preferred).
+ Software Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of major accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, etc.) and tax preparation software.
Professional Background
+ Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification strongly preferred.
+ Industry Experience: Proven track record in public accounting, corporate accounting, or accounting services industry.
+ Outsourcing Experience: Previous experience in outsourcing, offshoring, or global service delivery preferred.
