Senior Accounts Receivable SpecialistThe role involves working closely with the collections department to review accounts, client payments, credit history, and develop new or better repayment terms. You will be responsible for processing, verifying, and posting receipts for goods sold or services rendered; following up on, collecting, and allocating payments for credit card customers; communicating with previous clients and customers to request payment and arrange payment plans; maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses; performing account reconciliations by making sure prepaid customers have no outstanding balances on their account; researching and resolving account discrepancies; creating reports and balance sheets that document overall profits and losses; and obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up to date.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and verify receipts for goods sold or services rendered;
- Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments for credit card customers;
- Communicate with previous clients and customers to request payment and arrange payment plans;
- Maintain accurate records of payments and account statuses;
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure prepaid customers have no outstanding balances;
- Research and resolve account discrepancies;
- Create reports and balance sheets to document overall profits and losses;
- Obtain information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete;
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field;
- 2-5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable/Payable and/or General Accounting;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Outlook;
- Strong Netsuite experience in functions for AR and AP process;
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures;
