Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Billing and Accounts Receivable professional to join our team.

This role involves overseeing and managing the entire billing and accounts receivable process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Process Management: Oversee and manage the entire billing and accounts receivable process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  2. Invoice Preparation: Prepare and review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
  3. Accounts Receivable Management: Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and manage the collection process to ensure timely receipt of payments.
  4. Customer Account Reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and address any billing issues promptly.
  5. Process Improvement: Develop and implement effective strategies for improving the billing and collection process.
  6. Collaboration: Coordinate with internal departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  7. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports related to billing and accounts receivable, providing insights and recommendations.
  8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
  9. Closing Activities: Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including financial reporting and audits.
  10. Mentorship: Mentor and provide guidance to junior billing and accounts receivable staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  11. Supportive Role: Support the finance team with special projects and initiatives as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in billing and accounts receivable, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  3. Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  5. Soft Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  6. Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
  7. Adaptability: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
