Construction Accounting Specialist

This is a key role for an accounting professional with experience in construction accounting and job costing.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of estimating processes, bids, or take-offs and be proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software to ensure timely and efficient processing.
- Perform job costing and track expenses by project to optimize resource allocation.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, invoices, and vendor payments to maintain cash flow.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including profit-and-loss statements, cash flow projections, and balance sheets to inform business decisions.
- Assist with estimating by reviewing plans, material take-offs, and subcontractor bids to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Support project managers with budget tracking and cost-to-complete analysis to optimize project outcomes.
- Manage payroll and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws to minimize risk.
