Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned accountant with expertise in financial management, tax compliance, and payroll administration to join our team as a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UK accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for reviewing the work of junior accountants, ensuring accuracy and quality of financial statements, VAT returns, corporate tax returns, and other accounting deliverables before submission.

You will also oversee the preparation and submission of UK corporate tax returns, VAT returns, and P11Ds while ensuring regulatory compliance. Additionally, you will supervise and review UK payroll processes, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.

The successful candidate will have a proven ability to review juniors' work, ensuring accuracy and compliance. They will also have in-depth knowledge of UK corporate tax, VAT, P11Ds, and statutory accounts up until submission. Experience in managing UK payroll and HMRC compliance is also essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and overseeing the work of junior accountants
  • Ensuring accuracy and compliance of financial statements, VAT returns, corporate tax returns, and other accounting deliverables
  • Overseeing the preparation and submission of UK corporate tax returns, VAT returns, and P11Ds
  • Supervising and reviewing UK payroll processes
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in a UK Accounting Firm with strong understanding of UK accounting standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Proven ability to review juniors' work, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • In-depth knowledge of UK corporate tax, VAT, P11Ds, and statutory accounts up until submission
  • Experience in managing UK payroll and HMRC compliance
  • Leadership and team delegation skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero and other UK accounting software
