About this role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable accounting professional to support the financial operations of our clients in the US. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate financial reports, maintaining general ledgers, managing daily accounting tasks, and assisting with month-end closings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with experience working remotely for a U.S.-based accounting firm. They will also possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities">
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in preparing monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow), perform journal entries, reconciliations, and ensure accuracy in general ledger accounts. Process and review accounts payable and receivable transactions, generate accurate financial reports and analyses for review by clients and senior staff, assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance reports, maintain up-to-date records and ensure documentation supports reported balances.
  • Client Support & Ad Hoc Projects: Collaborate with Controllers on income/expense projections, complete reviews of your work and support quality checks for team members, address client queries and deliver timely updates as needed.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Support compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local accounting regulations, help ensure that bookkeeping and tax-related documentation are audit-ready.
  • Administrative & Internal Coordination: Track time accurately across multiple client accounts, participate in internal training and team meetings, perform other business-related tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements">
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • 3+ years of corporate accounting experience.
  • Experience working remotely for a U.S.-based accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, U.S. GAAP, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
  • Solid experience with QuickBooks Online (certification a plus).
  • Advanced proficiency with spreadsheet software (MS Excel and Google Sheets).
Preferred Qualifications">
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Experience in startups, SaaS, or fast-paced client environments
  • Familiarity with tools such as Expensify, Bill.com, Gusto, Stripe, etc.
  • Experience with platforms like Airtable, Loom, Salesforce, Box, and others
