Medical Services Coordinator

Job Overview

Caregivers play a crucial role in addressing patient inquiries and concerns. They understand patient needs by listening and interviewing, coordinating information among patients, family members, medical personnel, and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls according to procedure and departmental standards.
  • Assist patients with their queries and concerns.
  • Collect patients' outstanding balances.
  • Communicate with third-party entities regarding patients' accounts.
  • Place outbound collection calls according to procedure and departmental standards.
  • Address patient billing queries and concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality of protected health information adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively as a team player supporting department and company goals and policies.
  • Ensure reliable attendance and punctuality returning from breaks on time.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A College Graduate or at least 2 years of college education preferred especially in the medical field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive information required.
  • Basic mathematical calculations expected.
  • Attention to detail essential.
  • Proficiency in email usage necessary.
  • Self-motivation and willingness to take initiative valued.
  • Organizational skills prioritization and meeting deadlines crucial.
  • Dependability and reliability must-haves.
  • Teamwork and support for department and company goals and policies expected.
  • Flexibility in scheduling necessary.
  • At least 1 year of call center experience in medical accounts and programs advantageous.
