Job Overview

A Patient Services Representative plays a vital role in addressing patient queries and concerns by actively listening and interviewing patients to understand their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to incoming calls according to established procedures and departmental standards.
  • Assist patients with their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collect outstanding balances from patients.
  • Collaborate with third-party entities, such as insurance providers, to resolve patient account-related questions.
  • Make outbound collection calls following procedure and departmental guidelines.
  • Provide assistance with billing-related queries and concerns.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of patient information by adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Embody a team-oriented approach, supporting department and company goals and policies.
  • Ensure reliability and punctuality, with good attendance and timely return from breaks.
Requirements
  • Prefers College Graduates or those with at least 2 years of college-level education; degrees or courses related to the medical field are advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capacity to handle confidential information.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical calculations.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Skilled in email usage.
