Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records, process transactions efficiently, and support key automation initiatives in our dynamic team.

This role plays a vital part in supporting fast-growing businesses in the jewelry retail industry. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable wearing many hats in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record and categorize daily financial transactions in QuickBooks Online accurately
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice entry, payments, and reconciliations
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date general ledger
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts regularly, identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Manage retail-specific bookkeeping needs, including inventory tracking, cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) allocations, and POS system integration
  • Assist with the financial nuances of jewelry sales, returns, and vendor purchasing
  • Utilize Bill.com to process and manage vendor payments efficiently
  • Support payroll administration in coordination with internal systems and external providers
  • Assist in generating financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries
  • Help identify trends and areas for cost optimization or revenue improvement
  • Collaborate with the CFO team to support forecasting and budgeting efforts
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in a retail or e-commerce setting
  • Experience working in or with the jewelry industry is a strong plus
  • Payroll experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and experience using Bill.com is required
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools, and able to learn new tech quickly
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-starter with an ownership mentality and a passion for continuous improvement
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and remote work environment
