Job Role

The Infrastructure Capacity Professional plays a crucial role in ensuring adequate IT capacity to meet required levels of service.

This involves conducting capacity analysis and reporting for client's infrastructure systems, servers, databases, storage systems, datacenter space, and other services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collect, consolidate, and quality assure data for capacity reporting.
  2. Provide timely and accurate capacity reports to key stakeholders and clients.
  3. Analyze capacity data.
  4. FOLLOW UP with internal teams regarding capacity requests.
  5. Support the Capacity Managers with data collections and analyses, and other tasks as required.
  6. Manage client requests for information or adhoc reports.
  7. Ensure that the client's services and infrastructure can deliver agreed capacity and performance targets in a cost-effective and timely manner.
  8. Maintain a safe working environment by reporting incidents, hazards, or unsafe work practices according to policy.
Required Skills
  1. Understanding of IT architecture, including desktop hardware, enterprise applications, databases, storage, servers, and networks.
  2. Knowledge of software and performance monitoring techniques.
  3. IT Service Management framework and process knowledge for Capacity Management function and allied processes, including Change and Problem Management.
  4. Proficiency in appropriate Capacity Management toolsets; experience in reporting capacity issues.
  5. Background in capacity analysis.
