Job Overview

The Capacity Analyst position is responsible for ensuring there is adequate IT capacity to meet required levels of service. This involves conducting capacity analysis and reporting for clients infrastructure systems, servers, databases, storage systems, datacenter space, and other services.

This role entails:

  • Facilitating data collection, consolidation, and quality assurance of data for capacity reporting. Ensuring the data collection process is streamlined and reviewed for improvements.
  • Providing timely and accurate capacity reports to key stakeholders and clients.
  • Performing basic analysis on capacity data.
  • Following up with internal teams regarding capacity requests.
  • Assisting the Capacity Managers with data collections and analyses, and other tasks as required. Managing client requests for information or ad-hoc reports.
  • Ensuring that clients services and infrastructure can deliver the agreed capacity and performance targets in a cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Taking reasonable care that their actions (or inactions) do not harm the Health and Safety of self or others. Reporting all incidents, hazards, or unsafe work practices as per policy.
What You'll Bring
  • A basic understanding of IT architecture, including desktop hardware, enterprise applications, databases, storage, servers, and networks.
  • Knowledge of various software and performance monitoring techniques.
  • ITSM framework and process knowledge for Capacity Management function and allied processes, including Change and Problem Management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate Capacity Management toolsets; Demonstratable experience of reporting of capacity issues.
  • Proven background of capacity analysis.
