Job Title: Financial Collections Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive financial collections specialist to support our organization in managing the billing and payments process.

  • Maintain accurate customer records, including contact updates, mergers, and billing information.
  • Prepare and send collection correspondence for past-due accounts and initiate follow-up with delinquent customers.
  • Identify and monitor overdue accounts, generate aging reports, and support cash flow strategies.
  • Research payment discrepancies and resolve billing issues in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Work closely with accounting staff to reconcile financial accounts at regular intervals.
  • Prepare financial reports on account status as requested by management.
  • Ensure secure filing, documentation, and retrieval of financial materials.
  • Communicate account changes and payment updates to internal stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial collections, billing, or related accounting functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience using financial software and systems (e.g., ERP) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
