Senior Financial Administrator Position Available in Australian Business

About the Role
This part-time position offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified bookkeeper to work with a dynamic and growing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, including invoices, receipts, and transactions, in accordance with Australian accounting standards.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial data to prevent discrepancies.
- Prepare and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations, including ATO requirements.
- Assist with Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation and lodgment, as well as collaborate with accountants during audits and year-end processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in an Australian context, with a strong understanding of local tax regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Knowledge of Australian BAS, payroll, and tax systems, including ATO requirements and GST regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with management and staff.
Benefits
This part-time role offers a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional leave and benefits. The ideal candidate will be working 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that can accommodate hybrid or onsite arrangements based on client needs.
