About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Records Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our medical records retrieval process, you will be responsible for ensuring that every intake request is accurate, complete, and optimized for downstream success.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience requesting medical records from providers on behalf of law firms and proven ability to meet turnaround time and throughput targets. Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency with Adobe and PDF editing/combining tools are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Provider Research & Identification: Identify all relevant providers associated with a client's treatment, not just the main facility submitted by the law firm.
  • Request Creation & Quality Control: Review and correct incoming ROIs (Release of Information forms), prepare accurate base forms and generate complete submission packets.
  • Request Assignment & Escalation: Assign requests to the appropriate records team member based on workload and utilization, escalate special provider requirements or edge cases to the Client Success Manager.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience requesting medical records from providers on behalf of law firms.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Adobe and PDF editing/combining tools.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.
