Sales Account Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve customers by understanding their needs and providing solutions that meet those needs.
  • Manage existing accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales opportunities.
  • Focus sales efforts by understanding existing partners and identifying potential volume requirements and projects.
  • Develop new accounts by understanding the nature of company business and identifying new potential business opportunities.
  • Submit orders by referring to price lists and product details.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysis.
  • Monitor the competition by gathering current marketplace information, such as pricing, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Provide historical reports by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
