Job Description:

The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing various tasks related to financial statement preparation, tax compliance, and client support. Key responsibilities include processing up to the Trial Balance stage, preparing Business Activity Statements, and ensuring timely completion of tax reporting.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and tax experience, with a focus on Australian taxation. Leadership capabilities and a passion for mentoring team members are essential qualities for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process financial statements up to the Trial Balance stage
  • Prepare Business Activity Statements and Installment Activity Statements
  • Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts and reconciling entries
  • Prepare private tax returns, trust, partnership tax returns, and End of Year compliance jobs
  • Research and correct process errors that caused incorrect tax filings and negotiate with tax authorities over tax payment issues
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Graduate of Accountancy or Accounting Technology; Advantage if CPA licensed
  • Total of more than 4 years accounting and tax experience wherein 4+ year of experiences in AU tax accounting
  • Leadership capabilities and interested in leading the team in the future
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Attentive to details and organized
  • Good time management skills
