Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, processing invoices, and reconciling vendor statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices, verifying expenses, and reconciling vendor statements.
  • Process payroll accurately, including calculating employee hours, taxes, and deductions.
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Maintain the general ledger by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
  • Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, on a regular basis.
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding financial transactions and reporting.
  • Collaborate with management to support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to internal controls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience working in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
